Time Management
With studying AS Media, my target is to do independent learning outside of the lesson to demonstrate a better understanding of the subject and ahead of my work. I usually spend around an extra 2 to 3 hours a week studying AS Media at home along with 5 hours a week of AS Media at College. With other subjects I study, I also do similar hours of independent work. In this time I also do homework for the subjects and prepare myself for the upcoming lesson.
Photography
The essential specifications of photography in Media are composition, the suitability of the photograph and the importance of pose.
Composition
The composition of a photograph is essential to create and intact the best possible photograph. Framing of the photograph will indicate what the image is from, where it is from and its purpose. Framing is simply using other objects in your photograph to frame the main subject. This is probably one of the easier composition techniques in photography. Framing brings more depth to the picture and a better focus on what the main subject is.
Suitability
The suitability of a photograph is also key to creating a great photo. The photo must have a specific purpose to its topic and link well to for say an article it is to be used in. If the photo lacks relevance, it will considered inappropriate or useless.
Importance of Pose
Posing subjects can often be one of the most challenging aspects of portrait photography. Great posing can add emotion to a photo and add illusion and mystery to photos. Pose will also show indications of the photograph and what its purpose is.
